Description

This Fid is used to insert rods into the basket, mostly for the handles.

This tool I modify by taking off the wood handle and brazing on a steel one. In this way the rod when inserted does not hit that wooden handle and there’s no impediment to how far you can insert the rod.  I came up with this modification, working with a basket Weaver that wanted to get rid of the wooden handle.
